  • Water Quality

    Rose City Labs tests water for:
    pH Level, Water Hardness, Lead, Arsenic, Heavy Metals, Nitrates, Pesticides, Radon and Total Coliform & E.coli bacteria. We are ORELAP certified for E.coli and Arsenic testing required for Oregon state well water testing, Heavy Metals testing in drinking water, and test for Lead following EPA guidelines. We are also NRSB certified for Radon in water testing, ASSE/CDC Elite certified for Legionella, and also test for PFAS: Forever Chemicals in water.

    Our lab proudly holds an ORELAP Lab accreditation for heavy metals testing in multiple materials including water, soil, vitamins, supplements and foods.
    We can test almost any sample for: Arsenic - Beryllium - Cadmium - Chromium - Cobalt - Copper - Lead - Manganese - Mercury - Nickel - Selenium - Thallium - Uranium - Vanadium - Zinc. We can also test your paint for lead through both traditional chip testing and non-destructive XRF testing.

    Every day, we are at risk of being negatively impacted by the presence and breeding of harmful microorganisms. Bacteria, molds, mites, and viruses can cause illness and can contaminate your products, leading to lost production and quality. Our certified techs are trained specialists and will perform most environmental inspections, surveys, collect needed and necessary samples, plus run your test(s).   • Pesticides

    Pesticides are used as a part of normal agricultural practices to prevent destructive bacteria, mold, mildew, mites and other pests that can damage crops. Water and soil can become contaminated with these common pesticides. Certain pesticides are known carcinogens, which contain chemicals and heavy metals that are known to cause harm to humans, including cancer. The widespread use of pesticides can also lead to resistant strains of fungus and bacteria. We test for 59 pesticides.

  • Asbestos

    We test asbestos in compliance with EPA/600/R93/11. Bring your samples into the lab, or our AHERA Certified Inspectors provide quality on location surveys for residential and commercial proeties. Annual inspections, new home sites or remodels, regardless of age of home. Asbestos tests are necessary because asbestos fibers are microscopic and may not detectable without testing. Asbestos can be released when building materials containing asbestos are removed or disturbed.

    Radon is a colorless, odorless, gas that is the second leading cause of lung cancer. It comes from decomposing uranium in the soil, it can escape from the ground into your home. The only way to detect radon in your home is with a closed-condition radon test. Testing is the only way to detect radon gas. We will send one of our National Radon Safety Board (NRSB) Certified Radon Measurement Specialists to conduct a closed-condition radon test.
