    ( ICP-MS experience is a Plus) We are looking for a qualified Lab Technician to undertake a variety of laboratory procedures of technical nature in a in a high throughput analytical laboratory. Ideal candidate will have experience with metals-ICP-MS experience. This is a Second shift position from 330pm to 12am. You will be handling sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and conduct tests reporting findings to a laboratory manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in working under possibly hazardous conditions (e. g. pathogens or chemicals). The candidate will be well-trained to maintain safety conditions and will be passionate for doing work that makes things move forward. The goal is to optimize lab procedures and succeed in producing reliable and important results that can be used to make a difference.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    Perform sample preparation, analysis, and data review utilizing validated analytical methods.

    Have experience with HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, PCR, and standard laboratory equipment.

    Regularly observe equipment for any abnormalities, preform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of associated equipment.

    Use critical thinking to make decisions based on results and experience.

    Effectively multitask and coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.

    Maintain and follow all laboratory methods, protocols, and SOPs; follow other company procedures, guidelines and policies.

    Follow safe lab practices, and keep and maintain accurate laboratory records.

    Maintain a safe, clean, well-organized, and efficient laboratory work environment.

    Assist in maintaining the laboratory accreditation status with a constant mind for future audits.

    Perform cleanup actions such as emptying tubes, clearing old samples from inventory, etc.

    Qualifications, Requirements, and Skills

    Bachelor’s Degree in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university is required, but can be substituted with 5+ years’ laboratory experience.

    At least 2 years of experience in a regulated or high throughput laboratory environment is preferred.

    Exceptional wet laboratory technique and commitment to precision and accuracy.

    Ability to document actions in accordance with TNI and ISO/NELAC standards.

    Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database/LIMS systems

    Ability to work autonomously and under pressure

    Candidate should have some hands-on familiarity with the analytical instrumentation: HPLC, GCMS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, PCR.

    Some knowledge of microbiology and sterile technique is beneficial.

    Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

    Flexibility in work hours: this position may require work outside of normal business hours. Weekend and evening duties are occasionally required.

    Job Description

    Field technicians are employees are of the lab that have been trained to collect laboratory samples. Field technicians may be any position in the lab if they have documented sampling training and DOCs. If the field technician is transporting Cannabis or Psilocybin they must have proper workers Permit.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Field Technicians work largely in the field, driving to customer sites, and working directly with clients to collect samples per established procedures.

    • Field Technicians will report to the lab at the beginning and end of each shift to receive instructions and drop off samples.

    • Field Technicians establish the chain of custody of products sampled between the customer and the laboratory. Log sample information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and ensure the sampling takes place using appropriate methods, proper and disposable tools, and personal protective wear.

    • Field Technicians are also responsible for continuing positive customer relationships and occasionally collecting payments from customers. Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor with customers.

    • Field Technicians should be proficient in the use of basic laboratory hardware such as analytical balances. Ensure area is as clean and free from contaminants and filth as possible and sanitize tools.

    • Field Technicians will understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities, e.g., Quality Manual, SOPs, and Methods.

    • Perform the necessary laboratory functions associated with the transportation and sampling of cannabinoid containing products such as but not limited to: adhering to SOPs for the proper logging, handling and transport of laboratory test samples, and the creation of METRC transfers for in lab clients, cleaning required labware, and maintaining inventory/requesting supplies as needed.

    • Adhere to appropriate quality measures to meet or exceed the standards set by ISO/IEC

    17025 and company requirements relevant to assigned duties. Demonstrate knowledge of all sampling protocols, state cannabis testing regulations to effectively answer customer questions and field questions from sales team/samplers about regulations and sampling.

    • Follow all traffic laws.

    • Perform Intake duties for clients dropping samples at the lab for testing. Practice basic accounting skills.

    • Assist in communication among sales team, samplers, and couriers to arrange sampling and pickups; occasionally assist in scheduling appointments on Master Calendar and other systems should it be needed. Support lab personnel and sales staff communication regarding daily turnaround times (TAT) for existing clients.

    • Complete the Field Technician Training Requirements

    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Associates Degree (Bachelor's Degree preferred) in physical or biological science or closely related field with 1-year relevant experience, or 3+ years relevant experience.

  • Rose City Labs is expanding and looking for fun and energetic person to join our team and is currently seeking a Full Time Asbestos PLM Specialist for our Mobile Asbestos lab. Training is provided, must not be color blind. Able and willing to drive a converted ambulance or Shuttle bus. 4 days a week 11 hours per shift. Currently located in set locations less than 15 miles from Johnson Creek location.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Preparation and analysis of bulk and solid materials for asbestos content using PLM (Polarized Light Microscopy), PCM (Phase Contrast Microscopy), and all ancillary quality control procedures.

    Determination of visual percentage and optical properties of asbestos and non-asbestos material.

    Record data in a specified manner.

    As a mobile lab you will be required to do clerical work and may be login and data entry, scanning, emailing and printing reports, collecting payments and answering phone.

    Maintain and troubleshoot equipment when needed.

    Perform quality control practices per company Quality Assurance/Quality Control manual.

    Perform and pass Proficiency Test.

    Requirements:

    Clean driving record

    Minimum requirement High School Diploma or Equivalent.

    Three years of laboratory experience either in academic or commercial setting.

    Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science: Geology, Microbiology, Biology, Environmental Science, and/or Chemistry background is a plus but not required.

    Light microscopy, optical mineralogy/petro-graphic microscope training a plus.

    One to two years of asbestos PLM/TEM/PCM experience is preferred but not required - will train.

    Candidate must be able to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis.

    Must be able to work independently and with a team.

    Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting, multi-task, and prioritize assignments.

    Must have good communication, computer, typing, and organizational skills.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    - Bank reconciliations (multiple accounts & credit card) ensure proper review and reconciliation processes are in place.

    - Month-end close (cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit) analyze revenues and expenses to ensure transactions are recorded appropriately.

    - Full cycle A/P - A/R (including maintaining vendor files, preparing annual 1099 filings, check runs, prepare bank deposits)

    - Payroll (Paychex) responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll functions and related activities, including PTO, wage garnishments, incentives, and accruals.

    - Commission/sales tracking

    - Generate cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc

    - Vendor certifications, W9's, insurance certificates, and required licenses.

    - Coordinate with outside CPA for monthly/quarterly close (reconcile general ledger/chart of accounts) and year-end taxes i.e. 1099’s.

    - Identify inefficiencies in accounting and office operations. Recommend best practice solutions for management review. Maintain documented best practices.

    - Control files for all posted documents. Ensure that files are orderly, complete, and up to date.

    - Comply with accounting policies, recordkeeping, various federal or state financial reports, annual audit preparation, and various compliance tasks such as review and verification.

    - Leads benefit administration. Manages the accurate and timely update of all benefit related employee deductions and is responsible for the monthly premium payments to company’s benefit providers.

    - Group Health Plan—annual renewal, ongoing enrollment changes, employee education, and reporting.

    - Maintains and files electronic and paper personnel records and other HR records.

    - Ensure compliance and keep updated on government regulations impacting the Company and communicate these changes with the Executive team

    - Process new hires and terminations, and initiate paperwork for same. Prepares a variety of monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reports and maintains confidentiality of employee records.
